Ravi Narasimhan, son of Rathna and Dr. K. Y. Narasimhan of Los Altos, recently received the "Best Student Paper" award at Stanford University for his work on "A Handoff Algorithm for Wireless Systems Using Pattern Recognition." The paper was presented at the Ninth IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications in Boston this year.

Narasimhan is currently pursuing a doctorate in the Wireless Research Group at Stanford headed by professor Donald C. Cox.
