There are four one-day trips scheduled from January through March. The season kicks off Jan. 30 with a trip to Kirkwood. On Feb. 27 the group heads to Northstar-at-Tahoe. The last two trips will take place March 13 and 27. The cost for each excursion is $70 and includes an all-day lift ticket, chartered bus transportation and supervision. The trips are open to anyone in junior high and high school. Teeing off The third annual American Basketball League All-Star Weekend will tip off Jan. 22 with the All-Star Golf Tournament at the Santa Clara Golf and Tennis Club. The individual entry fee is $150. Sponsorship foursomes are available for $1,000 and include a tee sign. The tournament will feature ABL players and coaches. Winter with a twist Twisters Kids, located at 2639 Terminal Blvd. in Mountain View, is offering winter sports camps through Dec. 31. Each four-day session goes from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Activities include gymnastics, indoor rock climbing and other sports. Camp fees start at $95 and space is limited. Scholarships offered Athletic gear retailer Footaction USA is offering $100,000 in college scholarships to high school seniors who play sports. Applicants will be judged on the basis of financial need, class rank, standardized test scores and level of sports participation. The deadline for applications is Jan. 15, 1999. View Racewalk The Fifty-Plus Fitness Association hosts a free weekly racewalk that starts at 8:45 a.m. every Sunday at Shoreline Park in Mountain View.
