A native of Canada, he was 56. Mr. Schropfer was an engineer with Intel. He is survived by his wife, Diane Schropfer of Los Altos; one daughter, Christine Schropfer; siblings, Elizabeth Huddleston and Jean Gallucclo; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held in late January. Glen E. Young Glen E. Young, died Dec. 18. A native of Nebraska, he was 89. Mr. Young owned and operated an orange grove and poultry ranch in the Santa Ana Canyon from 1958 through 1974. After his retirement, he moved to Atascadero with his wife, Louise. He is survived by children, G. Alan and Warren Young of Los Altos, Ann Lay and Barbara Isaacson; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held Dec. 22. Richard William Keegan Richard William Keegan, a longtime Los Altos resident, died Dec. 14. A native of San Francisco, he was 78. Mr. Keegan received a full basketball scholarship to the University of San Francisco. He served in the Army during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart. He made his career in the securities business, retiring after 43 years. Mr. Keegan served as president of the San Jose Rotary Club, was active in the Mountain View Sierra Club and was a regular volunteer for Books Aloud, Inc. Mr. Keegan is survived by his wife, Betty of 49 years; children, Bill Keegan, Janet Black and Lynda Duffy; and seven grandchidlren, Kelly and Rosie Keegan, Todd, Eric and Chad Black, Lauren and Megan Duffy. Vigil services were held Dec. 17. Floyd Earl Dunn Floyd Earl Dunn died Dec. 13 in Saratoga. A native of Fort Smith, Ark., he was 68. Mr. Dunn was an education industry marketing manager for Control Data Corp. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Dunn served on the board of directors for the California Engineering Foundation. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Dunn of Los Altos; children, Michael Dunn and Ann Dunn Meola of Los Altos; mother, Vera Dunn; and grandchildren, Jonathon, Alanna and Katelyn Meola. |
