St. Nicholas School in Los Altos Hills will hold the 26th annual St. Nicholas Invitational Basketball Tournament Jan. 8-10.
Boys teams from eight schools will take part in the tournament: St. Simon of Los Altos, St. Joseph of Mountain View, St. Martin of San Jose, St. Joseph of Menlo Park, St. Brendan of San Francisco, St. Thomas of San Francisco, Old Mission of San Luis Obispo and host St. Nicholas.
The out-of-town participants will be housed by local families.
Tournament games will begin at 4 p.m., Jan. 8, with the last game of the day scheduled for 8:30 p.m. On Jan. 9, there will be a pancake breakfast for players and coaches. Games will begin at noon, with the last contest of the day set for 4:30 p.m.
The Jan. 10 schedule includes a Mass in the St. Nicholas gym. Games will start at 11 a.m. and the championship game will tip-off at 2:45 p.m. An awards presentation will follow at 4 p.m.
A ticket to a day's worth of games is $2.50 for adults and $2 for children. Spectators can also buy a weekend pass at $6 for adults and $4 for children.
