Darling is a graduate of Los Altos High School.
A junior, she is studying environmental policy at Colby.
Lauren Ward, a native of Bendigo, Australia, who attended Los Altos High School in 1990 as the Rotary club's first exchange student for the Sister Cities program, was recently named a Rhodes Scholar.
She was awarded the prestigious scholarship to complete her PhD in environmental change and management at Oxford University.
She stayed with Ann and Warren Nelson, Maryann and John Bogart and Ian and Suzanne Band.
Geoffrey Bough, son of Edward Bough and Joan Merdinger of Los Altos, was recently named to the honor roll for the fall term at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. To be named to the honor roll, students must maintain at least a 5-point grade point average on a 6-point scale.
Robin Casey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Casey of Los Altos, earned highest honors during the fall semester at Skidmore College for earning at least a 3.67 grade point average.

Jenny Elizabeth Marchick of Los Altos Hills was recently named to the dean's high honors list for the 1998 fall semester at Connecticut College for earning a grade point average of 3.7 or above.
