A panel discussion on the future of Social Security will be hosted by the Peninsula Democratic Coalition at its annual meeting, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.
The panel will cover all aspects of the Social Security system with particular reference to future plans, especially when the so-called "Baby Boomer" generation starts to tap into the system.

Coordinator sought for fix-it program
The city of Los Altos' volunteer program has a vacancy for coordinator of the minor home repair program for seniors.
The coordinator is the liaison between the homeowner requesting services and the volunteer who accomplishes the work. The minor home repair program currently has 11 volunteers who last year completed 211 jobs with the goal of helping seniors stay in their homes.

Jonathan Scott Halverstadt , staff therapist at the Amen Clinic for Behavioral Medicine, will speak at 7 p.m., Thursday, in the Los Altos Lutheran Church, 460 So. El Monte Ave., Los Altos.
Halverstadt will speak on "Attention Deficit Disorder and Intimate Relationships." The topic is for couples in celebration of Valentine's Day. Attendance is free for KPI members. Guests may make a $5 tax-deductible donation.

History House presents 'Music & Memories'
"Music & Memories," a collection of oral history readings with period music, will be presented from 2-3 p.m., Feb. 20, at the Los Altos History House Museum. Music by Paul Price will include 1926 Victor recordings of the Stanford Marching Band. Admission is free.
