WGA appoints Kaupp

For the second straight year, Los Altos resident Sue Kaupp has been appointed Junior Girls Director for the Women's Golf Association of Northern California. She will also serve as Assistant Rules Director and Peninsula Director. Kaupp is a member of the Los Altos Country Club Women's Association as well.

Softball, FB sign-ups

The Mountain View Recreation Division will begin accepting spring softball and four-on-four flag football registration Monday, Feb. 22. To register, teams must submit a roster with at least 12 players for softball and six players for football. League entry fees are $480 for men's softball, $455 for coed softball and $450 for football. An additional $10 non-resident fee will be charged for each player who lives outside of Mountain View. Mtn. View Racewalk

The Fifty-Plus Fitness Association hosts a free weekly racewalk that starts at 8:45 a.m. every Sunday at Shoreline Park in Mountain View. Participants should meet by 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Shoreline Boathouse. For more information, call Jack Graf at 948-8146.

Soccer tryouts

The Mountain View-Los Altos Magic and Magic No. 2, a pair of CYSA boys soccer teams, are looking for dedicated players born between Aug. 1, 1987 and July 31, 1989. Tryouts will be held this Saturday. For the time, location and more information, call Mike O'Farrell at 599-2295.

Basketball try-outs

Off the Glass Basketball is forming Club and Elite AAU teams for spring and summer tournaments. Roster spots are available for boys ages 11-14 and girls ages 12-17. Try-outs will be held in mid-March. For information call (415) 995-4781 and leave a message.
