If you do, the Los Altos-Mountain View District of the Peninsula West Valley Association of Realtors (PenWest) invites you to submit a nomination for the prestigious Community Service Award. The Los Altos Board of Realtors established the Community Service Award in 1964 as an expression of appreciation for the many unsung volunteer heroes and heroines of the local community. Former Los Altos Mayor Roy Dunnett was the first recipient. Marge Bruno, another former mayor, received the honor last year. The Los Altos-Mountain View district of PenWest continues this tradition by honoring the person who best contributed in a meaningful way to the quality, spirit and character of the communities of Los Altos and/or Los Altos Hills. Nominations are open to the public with the expectation that candidates cannot be members of PenWest. Nominations must be submitted no later than April 1, to the Peninsula West Valley Association of Realtors, 321 Second St., Los Altos, 94022. The winner will be honored at a Community Service Award Luncheon on May 5, at Michael's at Shoreline in Mountain View, which is open to the public. For more information or luncheon reservations call Shannon Elam at 949-9115. The Peninsula West Valley Association of Realtors is a 3,100-member real estate trade association and homeowner advocacy group serving Silicon Valley and the Mid-Peninsula. |
