Tomahawks Lacrosse, a Palo Alto-based club team drawing players from local elementary (Pups division), junior high (Junior/junior varsity) and high schools (JV/Varsity) has started its season.
The varsity team opened the season last week with a 12-2 loss to St. Ignatius, considered one of the stronger opponents in the league. Goals were scored by Los Altos Hills residents Paul Mans and Taylor Schofield, who attend Gunn and Mountain View highs, respectively.
The JV team starts its season today at home against Acalanes at Terman Field in Palo Alto.
On Saturday, the Junior and Pups teams will host 15 local squads in an exhibition tournament at Mountain View High.
