Town Crier Staff Report

Several of the Central Coast Section's top high school football coaches will speak at CCSA's Clinic of Champions this Saturday at Mountain View High School.

CCSA, Calcagno's Consulting Services and Association, is run by former Mountain View football coach Ray Calcagno.

Coaches from all 11 league champions, plus a youth coach who has won four national youth championships, will give 50-minute presentations on either offense, defense or how to build a successful football program. Speakers will include Ed Buller (Oak Grove High), Kelly King (Milpitas) and Chris Oswald (Santa Clara).

This one-day event starts at 8:15 a.m. with coffee, doughnuts, bagels and juice. The speakers will begin at 9 a.m. At noon there will be a lunch break, and food and drink will be provided. The speakers will resume their topics at 1 p.m. The day will end at approximately 4 p.m., when at least 20 door prizes will be awarded.

The cost of the clinic is $35. The clinic is recommended for high school and youth football coaches, but is also open to the general public.
