Stanford University's summer session program will host an open house from 6-8 p.m., April 6, at the Summer Session office on Stanford's campus. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet faculty and students who have participated in past programs.
The eight-week summer sessions are open to non-Stanford undergraduate and graduate students and a select number of high school juniors and seniors.

YWCA seeks nominations
The YWCA of the Mid-Peninsula is accepting nominations for "Voices of Our Future," an event that honors eight young women each May for their leadership in the community. Those honored will receive an award at a special recognition dinner, May 13, at Hyatt Rickey's in Palo Alto.
Any woman between the ages of 12 and 19, who lives or works between San Francisco and San Jose, may be nominated through April 15.

Women's month at Menlo College
In honor of Women's History Month, Menlo College will hold its second annual Celebration of the Goddess and Rites of Spring at 7:30 p.m., March 30, in the student union.
Marla Lowenthal, media studies professor at Menlo, will examine the significance of Hestia, the goddess of the home and hearth, in the information age.

The Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District will host its annual college fair from 6:30-8:30 p.m., today, at Los Altos High School. More than 80 colleges and universities are expected to be represented.
