Peninsula Volunteers, led by several Los Altos and Los Altos Hills organizers, is holding a two-day "Springtime elegance" gala, comprising a luncheon and fashion show on April 8 and a dinner dance on April 9.
Both events are at the Hotel Sofitel at Redwood Shores.
The fund-raiser, which features themed table settings, a drawing and silent and live auctions, benefits the Menlo Park-based organization.
Peninsula Volunteers assists area seniors in a variety of programs, including the Little House senior center, Meals On Wheels and Rosener House adult day support care.
The table settings, with themes such as "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" and "Chocolate Lovers, will be offered during drawings.
Participants may purchase tickets for the drawings at $5 per ticket or five for $20.
Tickets are placed in boxes by each table setting. One drawing will take place at the Thursday luncheon and the other five will be drawn at the dinner dance.
The fashion show will feature volunteers modeling styles from Prestige, Cache, the Surrey Shop, Patrick James and Macy's.
The Friday dance will feature music by the "Tongue 'N Chic" band and a live auction.
The grand auction prize is a one-week cruise for two on Sept. 21 from Rome to Monte Carlo.
Organizers include: Kathy Downey of Los Altos Hills, luncheon chairwoman; Elsie Quigley of Los Altos Hills, dinner dance chairwoman; Trenna Knudson of Los Altos, decoration chairwoman; and Nancy Carter of Los Altos, table coordinator.
Tickets are $65 each for the luncheon and fashion show, and $125 each for the gala dinner dance ($100 for those age 35 and under).
