Artists: Pick up your easel and 'Paint the Town'

The Los Altos Town Crier is sponsoring a program to "capture the look of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills" as it appears during the last days of the 20th century. "Paint the Town" will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 5, when artists paint their favorite city buildings.

Artists will have the opportunity to feature an artistic rendering that captures one or more of the approximately 400 commercial buildings, churches and schools in Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.

Painting will start by 10 a.m., offering the public a chance to watch the artists at work.

The event is also supported by the Los Altos Art Club, Los Altos Village Association, the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce and the PenWest Board of Realtors.

Artists of all ages and experience are invited to participate. Call 948-9000 for a participation agreement.
