A March 17 "Mountain View on the Move" section article, titled, "From light rail to corporate expansion, MV keeps on moving," is in need of some clarification.

The article stated that Mountain View is spending $2.5 million on capital improvements in the 1998-1999 budget. This is the amount spent in the downtown area alone. Overall, the city will spend more than $30.3 million in improvements throughout the city for the 1998-1999 year.

A Mountain View official said the Hope Street sidewalks were replaced and angle parking has been completed.

The article stated that businesses closed on Sundays are now open around the 100 block on Evelyn Avenue since the opening of the farmer's market. Most downtown retail establishments are now open on Sundays because of the market.

In regard to the poles PG&E crews are taking down for underground utilities, the article stated the poles would be coming down in "a week or so." McCrea now estimates they will come down "in a month or so."
