March 29, 1:49 p.m., 1000 block of Covington Road: A caller reported two diamond rings missing.

Burglary

March 29, 2:59 p.m., 4500 block of El Camino Real: A caller reported an attempted break-in over the weekend. A glass window was broken.

Needles found

March 29, 7:40 p.m.: A resident came to the police department with a case full of needles that he had found.

Barking dog

March 29, 10:57 p.m., 500 block of Cecelia Court: A caller reported an ongoing problem with a barking dog.

Phone offenses

March 30, 9:37 a.m., 1100 block of Los Altos Avenue: A woman reported harassing calls at her work.

Assault

March 30, 10:28 a.m., 200 block of Almond Avenue: A caller reported an assault, with hands/feet/fists, at Los Altos High School.

Revoked license

March 30, 11:26 a.m., Truman Avenue/Oak Street: Police issued a citation for a suspended or revoked license.

Car break-ins

March 31, 6:53 a.m., 1900 block of Colleen Drive: Police reported windows broken in a truck and a briefcase taken.

7:27 a.m., 1600 block of Middleton Avenue: Police reported a '98 BMW was broken into and a laptop computer taken. The car was locked.

Concrete dumping

Thursday, 1:03 p.m., 1500 block of Wakefield Terrace: A caller requested an officer for a possible municipal code violation of dumping concrete into the gutter.
