Peterson said he will be joining Wilsey Ham consulting engineers of Foster City as executive vice president. He worked for Wilsey Ham for six years prior to coming to Los Altos Hills. "It's an opportunity I hadn't sought, but I see it as a wonderful challenge," Peterson said. "I'm going to miss all the various people I've had contact with on my job." Mayor Bob Johnson said he was "deeply sorry" to see Peterson leave. "He's done such an outstanding job in the last four years," Johnson said. "We wish him well. He's held in high affection." Johnson credited Peterson with reorganizing the town's staff. "He made (the staff) more productive and happy than any time in my 11 years on the council," Johnson said. The council has begun meeting to consider a replacement for Peterson. |
