Fire survival workshop for hillside residents

The Santa Clara County Fire Department offers a fire survival workshop for hillside residents from 3-5 p.m. this Saturday, at the El Monte Fire Station, on the Foothill College campus, 12355 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills.

The workshop is free and will be conducted by fire department personnel. Topics covered will include: vegetation clearance, evacuation, fire-safe landscaping, how to establish or improve water supplies and information covering regulations relative to the high fire hazard areas.
