Ambassadors open with 3-1 home win

The Silicon Valley Ambassadors, the area's minor league men's soccer team, last Sunday opened its season with a 3-1 win over the Nevada Zephyrs at Palo Alto High.

The Ambassadors' goals were scored by Jorge Martinez, Jeff Land and Shawn Percell.

Their next home game is at 8 p.m., May 14 at Foothill College against the Central Coast Roadrunners (1-0).
