Alumni reunion at Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart Preparatory School will host "Alumni Reunion Weekend '99," May 14-15 at the campus, 150 Valparaiso Ave., Atherton.

Reunion activities will begin at 7 p.m., May 14 with a Spring arts celebration. The event will conclude with a luncheon May 15 in the Student Union at McGanney Sports Center.

Early comic books discussed at De Anza

Frederik L. Schodt, translator and author at the California History Center at De Anza College, will speak about the impact and history of the modern American comic book at 7 p.m., May 18 at the California History Center, 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd., Cupertino.

Record Swap at Foothill

Foothill College radio station KFJC is scheduled to hold a record swap from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 16 at the school's main dining hall, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills.

A $2 donation is requested. Parking is $2.

'Sink-A-Scholar' at Foothill

Students at Foothill College will have the opportunity to dunk their instructors in the school's pool at noon, May 12, as part of a fund-raising event sponsored by Alpha Gamma Sigma and Circle K to raise money for student scholarships.

Mandarin program topic at CUSD meeting

The Cupertino Union School District will hold a special information meeting for parents to learn about and register for its Mandarin-English Alternative program at 7:30 p.m., May 19, at the district office.

The program will enter its second year this fall with grades K-1 and as an immersion program.
