Alumni of the Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game are asked to contact the Almaden Valley Rotary Club so they can be recognized at the 25th annual game, scheduled for July 23 at Spartan Stadium in San Jose. What a racquet

The Page Mill YMCA, 755 Page Mill Road in Palo Alto, has started registering players for its summer racquetball league. The league, which runs June 12 to Aug. 15, welcomes A-. B-, C- and D-level players. Fee is $18 for members, $24 for nonmembers. Sign-up deadline is May 28. For more information, call 858-0661.

On guard

The City of Mountain View Recreation Division is offering a lifeguard training class May 20 through June 18 at Eagle Park Pool, 650 Franklin St. The course, taught by the American Red Cross, includes CPR training. The class meets from 7-10 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 5. Participants must be at least 15 years old. Cobras wanted

The Cobras, a Palo Alto Soccer Club under-14 boys team, is still looking for a few players to round out their fall team. Players must be born after Aug. 1, 1985 to be eligible. For more information, call coach Michael Pfyl at 497-3676.

Mtn. View Racewalk

The Fifty-Plus Fitness Association hosts a free weekly racewalk that starts at 8:45 a.m. every Sunday at Shoreline Park in Mountain View. Participants should meet by 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Shoreline Boathouse. For more information, call Jack Graf at 948-8146.

Swimmers sought

The Los Altos Masters Swim Club offers daily workouts and lap swimming for adults age 19 and over. All levels are welcome. For more information, call 941-2406.

Take a walk

The Fifty-Plus Fitness Association is now hosting free weekly walks at 6 p.m. every Wednesday at the Nordstrom parking lot (San Hill Road entrance) in Palo Alto. Wear good walking shoes and bring a flashlight when dark. Walks are held rain or shine and beginners are welcome. For more information, call Gina at 854-4010.

Hit the slopes

Sundancer Ski Club, a non-profit organization serving the Mid-Peninsula and South Bay, is recruiting new members for the 1998-99 ski season. Alpine and Nordic skiers and snow boarders are welcome.
