Town Crier Staff Report

County Supervisor Joe Simitian will host a town meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight in the Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.

The meeting will provide unincorporated Los Altos and Los Altos Hills residents the opportunity to ask Santa Clara County staff members questions about the full range of county-provided services and issues.

"At the community meetings I hosted last year, I realized many folks in unincorporated Los Altos and Los Altos Hills had questions about county government, questions that were going unanswered," Simitian said. Representatives from various county departments, including roads, planning, solid waste, county fire and the sheriff's office will be on hand to answer questions about county-provided services. Bill Jones, from Los Altos Garbage Company, will attend the meeting to address residents' questions.
