The Eagles' frosh-soph squad this season placed second to Santa Clara in the SCVAL El Camino Division with a 12-6 record. Raul Ontiveros was named co-MVP of the division, hitting .525 with 32 RBI and three homers. Named to the all-league team were Wesley Battle, Kevin Buurma, Matthew Kramer, Cameron Matthews, Thomas Roux, Benjamin Slotnick and Nicholas Whiting. "This team played with a lot of heart," coach Gabriel Stewart said. Golf with Rice The fifth annual Jerry Rice 127 Foundation Classic, a charity golf tournament hosted by the San Francisco 49ers' star receiver, will be held June 6 and 7 at the Los Altos Golf & Country Club. The fee is $725 per person and includes dinner and an auction at the club June 6 and a scramble tournament June 7. Only a few foursomes were still available when the Town Crier went to press. Sports Flash The Portola Valley Flash, a girls under-17 Class I CYSA team with members from the Los Altos area, still needs a few more players for the spring and fall seasons.
