Jean Newton Public Relations, a Los Altos-based public relations and advertising agency, recently took home gold and bronze awards at the Ad Club of Silicon Valley ADDY Awards, as well as three awards of distinction from the national Communicator Awards.

The ADDY awards recognize creative excellence in the public relations, advertising and graphic design industry, while the Communicator Awards, a national organization founded by communications professionals, recognizes outstanding work in the communications field.

Jean Newton Public Relations joined other Silicon Valley gold winners which advanced to the next level of the three-tiered American Advertising Federation national competition with a gold award for an annual report created for attorney search firm Major, Hagen & Africa.

Additionally, the agency received bronze awards for materials created for Elliott Laboratories and the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District, as well as for the city of Mountain View's on-call clean-up campaign.

The Communicator Awards committee recognized Jean Newton Public Relations with awards of distinction for a 10-minute video titled, "Building a Brighter Tomorrow," produced for the Housing Industry Foundation; a brochure for Canon Research Center America; and Major, Hagen & Africa's annual report.

"We are very pleased with the recognition by both organizations, especially in light of the level of competition," said Jean Newton, who served as creative director along with art director John Verducci for the award-winning materials.

Jean Newton Public Relations, a full-service agency established in 1984, provides comprehensive public relations, advertising and marketing communications for a variety of diverse corporations, businesses and nonprofit organizations.
