Citizen blue-ribbon

budget committee

The 29-member Los Altos citizen committee, charged with reviewing the city's budget and possible additional staffing and capital projects, will hold its third meeting at 7 p.m., Thursday, in Room A, Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.

The committee, chaired by Bob Grimm, a retired Hewlett-Packard executive, is reviewing three documents prepared by the city. The city council reviewed and prioritized the capital projects included in the city staff's documents.

One of the decisions they will consider, is, if they find projects they deem important but for which there are no funds, should there be a ballot measure for a city bond?

Their recommendations will be coming back to the city council at its June 22 regular meeting.
