Town Crier Staff Report

With $50,000 in its coffers, the Los Altos High School Pool Committee is seeking an additional $100,000 to provide the school with a new high-quality swimming pool and boiler room.

"The current pool is too small and outdated to accommodate many water sports, and the heating system/boiler room is on the verge of complete failure," said committee spokesman Chris Hansen. "Both require immediate attention."

To remedy these situations, the committee is requesting generous contributions from those in the community.

Checks should be made out to: Los Altos High School Athletic Facilities Fund, and mailed to P.O. Box 1681, Los Altos 94023-1682.

For more information about the project, call Hansen at 494-8900 or John Buurma at 941-4979.
