Dance band ensures millennium event will be going 'full motion'

Full Motion, a contemporary show band, will transport Los Altos Millennium Celebration revelers from one century to the next on Dec. 31. Featuring "the best dance music of the 1960s to the 1990s, Full Motion will be on stage from 10:30 p.m. till 1 a.m." said Rick Herns, producer of the Los Altos-Los Altos Hills Millennium Celebration.

I chose to do my essay about the Los Altos Pet Parade because I love animals. I have a great time at the parade. It's one of the few times that I get to show off my dog, Brewski. The children who participate in the Pet Parade have a lot of fun showing off their pets, too. It is an event for all to enjoy. School fire safety is a hot issue again in the state legislature. Assemblyman Ted Lempert, who represents the Los Altos area, wrote a bill which could require classroom fire equipment upgrades in all public schools.

Search for high school principal is scheduled to finish by end of June

The search for a new Los Altos High School principal should wrap up this month. Two student-parent-teacher panels were scheduled to interview nine final candidates Tuesday and today. They will narrow the list to three, said a spokeswoman from the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District.
