Wedge Corporation of Mountain View June 14 introduced ultraCaddie™ software, a golf application for the Palm Computing® platform.
The ultraCaddie software, which 3Wedge claims is the world's first golfing software with caddie-like functionality, includes an electronic caddie feature that enables golfers to quickly calculate and determine the best golf club for a particular situation.
The ultraCaddie software can track and calculate up to 41 different player statistics for comparison and analysis. The software also simplifies the accounting of more than 16 popular side games with 54 different options.
The ultraCaddie software performs the advisory role of a live caddie by providing expert club recommendations based on a player's input regarding prevailing conditions such as wind speed and direction, fairway slope, hazards, pin placement and lie conditions.
The ultraCaddie software works and looks like a paper scorecard, but captures more information and displays it on the Palm Computing platform.
