The Los Altos Senior Center is located in the Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave. in Los Altos. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information call 948-7483. Following is a list of special events for the month.

Today: 9:30 a.m., board of directors meeting. Bring your suggestions and get involved in the decisions.

Friday: Noon, luncheon. The menu is barbecued hamburgers with the trimmings, served on the patio in front of the Senior Center. Reservations are $4 with activity card and $6 without.

July 25: Noon, ice cream social at Garden House in Shoup Park. Cost is $1.50 per person.

July 30: 1 p.m., bingo birthday. Celebrate July birthdays with cake and ice cream. Music and free bingo.
