San Antonio Road, according to city hall officials. A two-story design on Jay Street: The council will review two-story plans for an additional house on Jay Street, adding to a neighborhood controversy. Some residents of Jay Street do not want two-story homes on their street and want the city to consider one-story overlay zoning, a tool for ensuring a street will remain single-story. Earlier this year another property owner on Jay Street had his two-story design turned down by the council. Rather that deal with re-design issues, he has put his house up for sale. Almond Avenue parking: The council will revisit its decision to allow on-street parking along Almond Avenue in front of the high school to accommodate the reconstruction on the school site. Almond Avenue residents have been protesting to the council, at the last two meetings, about design and traffic concerns resulting from the construction. Day worker ordinance: The council will consider how to implement its new ordinance that will prohibit soliciting work from sidewalks. This measure is directed at getting day laborers off the street and into the worker center at the corner of El Camino Real and Jordan Avenue. Club Mirage permit: After a planning commission hearing Aug. 5 regarding revoking the permit for Club Mirage, the council will be taking action. Club Mirage is on El Camino Real. Millennium mural: Since the applicant was not at the Aug. 10 council meeting to answer questions, the council carried over the request for a Millennium Mural to its next meeting. The mural is a project that would be painted on the side of a building at Main Street and San Antonio Road. |
