Opening ceremonies for new h.s. buildings

The Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District is scheduled to hold opening ceremonies for the new science and art buildings at both Los Altos and Mountain View high schools.

The ceremony at Los Altos High will be held at 5 p.m., Aug. 24, in the school's new science and art building. Administrators will also introduce at the event new school principal Pattie Montalbano.

Mountain View High's ceremony will be held at 5 p.m., Aug. 25, at the school's science and art building.

Fall registration at FH-DA colleges

Fall classes at Foothill and De Anza colleges begin Sept. 21.

Foothill's continuing students may register online or by phone from now until Sept. 16. De Anza's continuing students have already been assigned registration appointments.

New and former students may register online or by phone at Foothill from Aug. 23 to Sept. 16. At De Anza, students should submit an application as soon as possible.

Late in-person registration is Sept. 13-16 at Foothill and Sept. 16-17 at De Anza.
