Deadline approaching for teams interested in Labor Day tourney

Town Crier Staff Report

Youth basketball teams planning to compete in the Labor Day Invitational at Foothill College need to sign up by Sunday.

The tournament, set for Sept. 10-12, is open to school, club and travel teams. Fifty to 75 teams are expected to compete.

Both boys and girls divisions are broken down as follows: Grade 6 or age 12 and under; Grade 7 or 13 and under; Grade 8 or 14 and under; and junior varsity.

Divisions are based on age as of Sept. 1 for boys and Jan. 1 for girls.

Each team is guaranteed to play at least three games. The cost to enter is $250 per team.

Foothill is located at 12345 El Monte Road in Los Altos Hills.
