Foothill flea market benefits Theater Guild Foothill College in Los Altos Hills will hold four more flea markets in 1999. The monthly markets will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Sept., 18, Oct. 16, Nov. 11 and Dec. 18 in Parking Lot F. All proceeds benefit the college's Theatre Guild. Vendor space is available for the remainder of this year. A single space, 16-by-16 square feet, costs $18 for vendors over 65 and Foothill students. Child-care space available at YMCA The Northwest YMCA is accepting registrations for fall child care for children entering kindergarten through grade 6. The YMCA is licensed and provides children with snacks, group games, homework assistance, arts and crafts, and cooking activities. Northwest YMCA child-care services are held on- site at various Cupertino area schools including Stevens Creek, John Muir, Eisenhower, West Valley, Milikin, Meyerholz and Blue Hills elementary schools and Northwest YMCA. Full-time and part-time child- care services begin Aug. 26 and run concurrently with the school year. Site hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call (408) 257-7160. Continuing studies at Stanford University Fall registration for the Continuing Studies program at Stanford University began this week. The program includes evening and weekend classes, seminars and workshops for the adult community. Five and 10-week classes begin Sept. 22. Funschool.com starts Web site for kids Funschool.com, a new Mountain View-based company, recently unveiled an educational Web site for children at www.funschool.com. The site provides local students access to more than 400 educational games.
