Items for sale will include hard-to-find glassware, out-of-style silverware patterns, collector dolls, comic books and accent items. The Antiques Faire is one of two fund-raisers for the annual Festival of Lights Parade in Los Altos, held each Thanksgiving weekend. The other event was "Rock Back the Clock" dance held last Friday at Rancho Shopping Center. According to Conrad Heintzelman, co-coordinator with Joe Leal of the Festival of Lights, the parade costs more than $30,000 to assemble and produce. In the spirit of fund-raising, visitors are requested to make a $2 donation to the Festival of Lights parade. "This (the Antiques Faire) is a fund-raiser that a lot of dealers look forward to every year," Leal said. "We expect 60-70 dealers this year exhibiting quality and classic antiques." Faire visitors to Sunday's event will also find numerous booths featuring food and drink from local restaurants and coffee houses. The faire will be held in the South Parking Plaza, directly behind Washington Mutual Bank, 199 Main St., Los Altos. |
