About Infoseek

Founded in 1994, Infoseek is a leading Internet navigation service. It began providing the net search service for Netscape in 1995 and has become one of the largest advertising-supported sites on the Internet. This year, Disney aquired a 43 percent stake in Infoseek. It owns the GO Network which incorporates the major Disney Web sites. Infoseek weaves Internet services with consumer brands, providing access to millions of products and programming content from ABC, Disney, ESPN and ZDNet.
