1949 classic cars wanted for fall festival

Owners of pre-1969 classic cars are invited to enter their pride-and-joys in the annual Los Altos non-concourse classic car show. The show is sponsored by the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce and is part of the Celebrate Los Altos Fall Festival. The festival is scheduled for Oct. 2 and 3.

Fall festival organizers expect 40 cars exhibited per day, or 80 total for the two-day event.

In addition to the car show, the festival will feature celebrity chef demonstrations from such personalities as John Bentley, Jaime Carpenter, Lawrence Chu and Brent Pollack and Dan Gordon.

The festival also features a "Children's Alley" and a scarecrow contest involving the local schools.
