The eighth annual "Celebrate Los Altos Fall Festival" will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday in the South Parking Plaza between Main Street and San Antonio Road.
The festival will include more than 160 vendors featuring arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, holiday decorative items, as well as two days of cooking demonstrations.
The festival is sponsored by the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds benefit chamber programs for local merchants and customers.
More than 15,000 people are expected to attend the festival to view exhibits and classic cars on display each day.
One of the features of this year's festival is the celebrity chefs' demonstrations with John Bentley of John Bentley's, Jamie Carpenter of Jocco's, Shin Kaneoya of Akane, and Larry Chu of Chef Chu's. Each chef will feature one of his restaurant specialties.
Entertainment on the main stage starts at 11 a.m. each day with Felonius Smith and his acoustic blues.
On Saturday, Mary Ott, with her original pop folk, will follow at 1 p.m. and South Bay Express, will rock and roll from 3-5 p.m.
On Sunday after Felonius Smith at 11 a.m., the String of Pearls Big Band will swing from 1-3 p.m. and the Jesse Charles Band will rock and roll from 3-5 p.m.
Featured restaurants and markets will include Andronico's Market with deli sandwiches, Armadillo Willy's BBQ with Tri-tip sandwiches and hot dogs, Chef Chu's with Chinese chicken salad, Clarke's Charcoal Broiler with hamburgers; and Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza.
Children's Alley will have live entertainment, a scarecrow contest, Twister's Tumble Bus, a children's train, face painting, balloon creations, bean bag toss and a Ferris wheel.
A special feature popular with children is the Rock Climbing Wall.
Auto enthusiasts will enjoy the classic show with more than 40 vintage cars on display each day. Awards will be given to 1949 model cars.
