Perry will be the special guest speaker at the October lunch meeting of the Peninsula Democratic Coalition. Perry, a Los Altos resident, will discuss "How Geopolitics Can Conflict with Domestic Politics." The lunch and talk will begin at noon on Oct. 9, at Chef Chu's Restaurant, on the corner of San Antonio Road and El Camino Real in Los Altos. The cost of the lunch is $15 and reservations are required. Perry, an envoy to North Korea, made national headlines recently. He developed a strategy to ease economic sanctions against the country in an effort to thwart testing and advancement of nuclear weapons programs. Attendees may make reservations at 948-8259 or 949-1009. Perry is currently works at Stanford University. appointment in engineering and the Institute of International Studies. He is also a Senior Fellow at tbe Hoover Institution and the co-author of Preventive Defense: A New Security Strategy for America.
