Time capsule part of Millennium Celebration

In conjunction with the upcoming Los Altos Millennium Celebration, a separate committee has been working on preparing a 100-year time capsule. The capsule will be unveiled at the Dec. 31 event at Hillview Community Center.

The capsule would be opened in the year 2100.

Committee members are asking residents to submit papers, pictures or documents that could include a poem or family picture. Entrys should be limited to two 8.5-by-11 pages. Black and white photos, printed on one side, are preferred.

In other news, the Millennium Celebration organizers are urging singles as well as couples to attend the event. The event will include "singles only" tables.
