Millenium celebration makes arrangements for singles

Special to the Town Crier

The Millenium Celebration Committee is making special arrangements to ensure that singles enjoy the end-of-the-millenium blow-out planned for Dec. 31 at the Hillview Community Center in Los Altos.

Teri Stetz, singles coordinator, will put together singles-only tables, trying to ensure an equal number of men and women seated at each table.

If you are interested in being seated at one of these singles-only tables, call Stetz at 917-0997.

She will need your name and address after you make your reservations.

Tickets are now on sale for $450 for the entire evening, $200 of which is tax-deductible.

If you have other plans for dinner, there is also a general admission $75 ticket, which will permit entrance into the event at 10:30 p.m., with champagne, the midnight extravaganza, and dancing to the music in the big tent.

For more information and ticket reservations, call the Millennium Hot Line at 941-0786.

The Millennium Celebration includes a sit-down dinner under a climate-controlled tent, entertainment provided by two dance bands and a "midnight surprise entravaganza" that organizers say will usher in the year 2000 in a spectacular way.
