A 'Giant' voice

Hank Greenwald, former radio and television announcer for the San Francisco Giants, is scheduled to speak at 4 p.m., Sunday at the Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center, 655 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto. Greenwald will discuss his broadcasting career and recent autobiography, "This Copyrighted Broadcast." Play ball

Mountain View Little League is taking sign-ups by mail for its spring 2000 season. Age levels go from 5-12 and divisions include T-ball, pitching machine, Minors, Majors and softball. Panther power

Two Woodside Priory students from Los Altos have been named league MVPs of their respective sports. Sophomore outside hitter Franciesca Centofanti earned the honor for girls volleyball and senior midfielder/stopper Paddy Sullivan garnered the award in boys soccer.

A perfect season

Coach Adam DeMaestri, a St. Francis High graduate, led the Sacred Heart Prep football program to an undefeated season in its inaugural year. The frosh-soph team concluded its perfect season with a 40-14 win over Greenfield Nov. 6 in Atherton. "Together, I think we have laid the foundation for a very successful football program here at Sacred Heart," DeMaestri said.
