iReachOut.com, formerly Shop4Charity.com, an online shopping and charitable-giving service that supports member-selected charities, launched a new Web site Dec. 1. It also added a new line of charitable greeting cards to its list of services.

iReachOut.com, headquartered at 220 State St. provides online services that support nonprofit organizations in their efforts to raise funds and promote awareness of specific causes.

With the addition of electronic greeting cards, every time an individual sends an iReachOut greetings, 10 cents will be donated to the charity specified. Membership is free and members can send as many cards as they like with no cost incurred.

"The iReachOut Greetings is one way in which we empower individuals to support their favorite cause," said Kamlesh Keswani, founder and president of iReachOut.com. "What makes our program unique is that the service is completely free. The program is funded by a company pledge fund."

In addition to electronic greeting cards, members have access to more than 100 brand name merchants who provide a percentage of the cost of online purchases to the charity the buyer selects.

"Through the electronic greeting cards alone, a nonprofit organization can raise up to $10,000 which is a significant contribution," Keswani said.

iReachOut Greetings are created from original pieces of art contributed by individual artists. The new greeting card service and updated web site are available to visitors as of today.
