Assault

Dec. 19, 11:55 a.m.: The son of an elderly woman hit her caretaker, according to police. He left on foot carrying a large stick. An arrest was made.

Suspicious circumstances

Dec. 19, 12:59 p.m., 900 block of St. Joseph Court: A caller reported that the side garage door had pry marks around it. A report was taken.

DUI arrest

Dec. 18, 100 block of Main Street: A caller reported two men in a blue Buick harassed him and his wife while they were jogging. The men yelled obscenities at his wife and followed the couple into a business. An arrest was made.

Suspicious circumstances

Dec. 17, 10:02 p.m., 1000 block of Farndon Avenue: A caller said that his neighbors are out of town. He could see movement in the house and hear yelling. He called the residence but there was no answer and the lights went off.

Dec. 18, 12:50 a.m., Angela Drive: A caller heard someone kicking something metal and the sound was moving down the street. A second caller said he heard noise he thought to be gun shots.

Theft

Dec. 15, 10: 21 p.m., 2000 block of Homestead Road: Someone was stealing Christmas trees, police said. A report was taken.

Dec. 14, 3:28 a.m., 100 block of First Street: A 16-year-old girl wearing a navy blue sweater attempted to steal a case of beer, police said. She was detained in the rear of the building. A report was taken.
