Casella, a resident of Los Altos for more than 63 years, died Nov. 19. A native of San Francisco, she was 89. Mrs. Casella was predeceased by her son, Robert Casella. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Emil J. Casella; one son, Ronald and his wife Maryanne Casella; daughter-in-law Mary Casella; grandchildren, Kristie and her husband Michael Paterson, Kathy and her husband George Topusidis, Andrea Casella, Karen and her husband Dave Adamski, Jim Casella; and great-grandchildren, Robbie and Courtney Paterson Nickolas, Alyssa Topusidis Austin and Hailey Adamski. Mary Durand 'Molly' Moulton Mary Durand "Molly" Moulton, a former Los Altos Hills and Los Altos resident, died Dec. 4 at her home. She was a native of Oregon. Mrs. Moulton graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles and later taught school in Whittier. She was an active member of the community. She is survived by her husband, Robert Moulton; four children, Jeanne Moulton, Judy Sleeth, Margaret Moulton and David Moulton; and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service was held Dec.19 the First Presbyterian Church in Palo Alto. Jesse Richards Jesse Richards died Dec. 8. A native of Illinois, he was 71. Mr. Richards was an engineer with Lockheed. He was the widower of Jeanette Richards. He is survived by children, James Richards, Judi Richards, Jani Richards of Los Altos, Joyce Richards and John Richards; one brother, Glen Richards; and four grandchildren. Graveside services were held Dec. 10 at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto. Alice Burrington Alice Burrington died Dec. 9 at her Los Altos home. A native of California, she was 90. Mrs. Burrington was the widow of Andrew Burrington. She is survived by children, Robert Burrington and Julian di Ciurcio; and grandchildren, Allan and Christine Burrignton. Services were held Dec. 14. Margaret M. Moore Margaret M. Moore died Dec. 13 in Los Altos. She lived in Mountain View for more than 60 years. Mrs. Moore was a prime proponent and activist in the restoration of the Rengstorff House at Shoreline Park in Mountain View. She served three times as president of the Mountain View Women's Club and was a teacher's aide at Landels Schoo. She was predeceased by siblings, Pete Devyak and Anna Briski of Mountain View. She is survived by children, Sharon Walz and Wayne Moore; daughter-in-law, Maria Moore; and five grandchildren, Lindsay and Zachary Walz and Heidi, Hazel and Hanna Moore. Robert Ryan Robert Ryan, a 20-year Los Altos resident, died Dec. 14. A native of Michigan, he was 75. Mr. Ryan was an insurance executive with Equitable Life. Mr. Ryan is survived by his wife, Jean Ryan of Los Altos; children, Cynthia Berrien, Tish Beyer, Robert Ryan, Chris Ryan and Jeffrey Ryan; siblings, Maureen Burkhardt and Patricia Ryan; and 13 grandchildren. Taylor, a 45-year resident of Santa Clara County, died Dec. 14 in Mountain View. He was 53. Mr. Taylor was an entrepreneur and craftsman. He is survived by his wife, Lynda; mother, Vera Taylor of Los Altos; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Michael Edwards; daughters and sons-in-law, Jaime and Rodney Meyer, Wendy and David Roldan, Rachel and Chance Russell and son and special friend Aaron Modras and Desirie Powers; and grandchildren, Alexandra, Taylor, Mathew and Shelby. |
